Come join SommelierJean-Luc Le Dû and native son of Brittany, France who is the owner of Le Du’s Wines a Zagat #1 Wine Store in New York City. He is a 2003 James Beard Award Winner for “Best Wine Service” and was Chef Sommelier for a decade at world renowned Restaurant Daniel.
This is a rare opportunity to taste older vintage wines from France’s top and most unique producers orchestrated by Jean-Luc as he gives his personal experience from his travels and his many years working in NYC’s top restaurants.

During our Grand Tasting and Silent Auction, top professionals will offer six 20-minute seminars covering exciting wine regions and major topics in the field. This year we are extremely excited about our lineup featuring topics such as Wines of Chile, Primitivo Four Ways, Alsatian Grand Cru Exploration, Wines of Long Island, A Celebration of Rosé and our popular Blind Tasting and Disability Awareness Seminar. The fast track seminars allow you to take a break from the Grand Tasting to be taken on a journey by NYC’s top wine professionals. You will feel like a wine expert in no time!
Blind Tasting Seminar and the Influence of People with Disabilities in the World of Wine hosted by BNP Paribas, 12:40pm-1:00pm
Join Dana Gaiser and Morgan Harris, two of NYC’s most accomplished sommeliers and allow them to teach you the art of Blind Tasting. Both Dana and Morgan will deductively taste 3 blind wines that all have a connection to the world of disability. Both Morgan and Dana along with your help will be detectives in trying to gather as much evidence to get to the final conclusion. Be ready to learn some of their secrets on how to taste like a pro and learn how the disability community has influenced the world of wine!
Alsace Rocks: An Exploration of Grands Crus Terroirs with Joshua Nadel, 1:10pm-1:30pm
Located in northeastern France and sheltered by the Vosges mountains, Alsace has a the most diverse terroir in the country with 13 distinct soils. Led by Josh Nadel; Beverage Director for NoHo Hospitality Group. You will explore 4 different soils through different varieties:granite, volcanic, marl, limestone.
Long Island is NOT a Long Shot with Winemaker Roman Roth 1:40pm-2:00pm
Long Island Wine Council President and Wölffer Estate Vineyard Winemaker & Partner, Roman Roth, will present four wines exhibiting the character that makes Long Island Wine Country a world-class region worthy of attention. Long Island’s sandy loam soil, diverse flora and maritime climate have created ideal growing conditions for winemakers to produce beautifully balanced wines with minimal intervention. The wines showcased in the seminar will represent four of the region's main varieties demonstrating why Long Island is NOT a long shot. These wines are: Grapes of Roth by Wölffer Estate Merlot 2012; Hound's Tree Cabernet Franc 2015; Bridge Lane Wine Chardonnay 2016; Kontokosta Winery Sauvignon Blanc 2015.
San Marzano Primitivo Four Ways Seminar with Salvatore Riccardi 2:40pm-3:00pm
Located in the Primitivo di Manduria DOP, San Marzano is a leading Puglian producer of the native Primitivo grape, crafting wines that are rich, ripe and elegant, with a deep sense of terroir. During this seminar, Salvatore Riccardi, San Marzano ambassador will lead an exploration of the cultural, historical and viticultural importance of Primitivo in Puglia as well as its different stylistic expressions.

Chile holds many secrets in its land with a rich geography like no other. Alex’s expertise as a Master Sommelier comes in quite handy and he has traveled to both of these mystical wine regions which has given him an on-the-ground perspective of just how far the regions have come — and how much more potential is there.

Along with Dustin Wilson who is a Master Sommelier based in New York City, and the founder of Verve Wine. Dustin is best known for his position as Wine Director of the 3 Michelin-starred restaurants, Eleven Madison Park.
